Real Name: René Kristensen
Being in the music industry for more than 10 years, Noir has not only made his name more than well known on a worldwide scale for his productions, but he has also established himself as a highly skilled and much requested international Dj.
After releasing a huge amount of his tracks and remixes under different aliasses such as Noir, Decaff, Soul Flava, RNK, Premier, Black Magik and on numerous respected international labels. Noir decided to start his own label (Noir Music) early in 2007. The philosophy being to release both his own tracks and support music from new and promising producers.
Besides spending most of his time producing and travelling the world Dj’ing, Noir still finds the time to have his residency at Club V4 in his hometown of Aalborg in Denmark, which has been running for more than 6 years already. The club also hosts the successful night: “Noir Music presents…” which has already had great international guests Djs such as Chris Lake, Funkagenda, Richard Dinsdale and Sebastien Léger.
Looking back at the journey so far, including major releases such as “My Mtv” and the House Anthem “All About House Music”, collaborations with some of the key artists on the scene, experiencing amazing clubs and crowds all over the world, Noir is determined to maintain himself as a significant player and innovator on this scene we love for years to come…

| The last couple of years have been very exciting and very busy for Noir (real name René Kristensen). Producing and DJing since 1996, Noir gave up his daytime job in 2003 to focus and concentrate on his DJ and producing career. In 2004 Noir spent most of the time in the studio and signed up with Lifted Music for various productions, most of them now signed to major labels. ..:: It’s All About Housemusic ::.. In 2005 Noir got his debut with signings on Toolroom Records, WYZE Records, OXYD Records, Deeplay Music, Ego Music, Montana Entertainment (Morjac’s label), Warner & Bonnier etc. Noir’s track “MTV” was released in late 2005 in Scandinavia and has already been nominated to “Upfront Track of The Year” to the Danish DeeJay Awards. The track was also released as a Toolroom whitelabel in late 2005 with the Public Domain remix and hit the top of several charts incl. No.1 on the MixMag Harddance chart. “My MTV” is released worldwide by Toolroom Records in time for WMC in Miami 2006 with a massive remix package. Noir’s release on WYZE Recordings “All About Housemusic” went no. 6 in the Buzz Chart on Pete Tong’s Essential Selection and was in the top 10 Sales Chart on Traxsource for at least 3 weeks. ..:: The dj’ing ::.. Noir got his first residency in a club called Rendez Vous playing everything from Hip Hop, soul, 70’s funk to House & techno. After 3-4 years of intense dj’ing he narrowed his set down to playing only House. This brought him another residency and the chance to start up a houseclub “V4” which is now (and has been for the past 5 years) one of the finest and most popular clubs in Denmark. V4 was nominated “Club of The Year” at The Danish Deejay Awards 2003 and Noir himself was nominated “Upfront Deejay of The Year” at The Danish Deejay Awards 2004. After hosting his own weekly radioshow Groovecouch for about 3-4 years, Noir decided to stop becauce of lack of time. The demand for guest sets to radiostations all over the world is still growing though. |
